Upgrading or Downgrading a Plan
Where to start
Open the service and look for the plan change option. You will be shown the plans you can move to, with the exact amount the change costs — or credits back — before you confirm anything.
How the price is worked out
Changes are prorated. We calculate what you have already paid for the time remaining on the current term, subtract it from the cost of the new plan for that same period, and the difference is what you settle.
You never pay twice for the same days, and you never lose the days you have already bought.
Upgrading
An upgrade generates an invoice for the difference. The new plan is applied when that invoice is paid, not when you request it — so if you need the extra resources immediately, pay the invoice straight away.
Once paid, the resources are adjusted on the server and the renewal continues on the new plan's price.
Downgrading
A downgrade takes effect right away and the difference is returned as account credit, which is automatically used against your next invoices. It is not refunded to your original payment method.
Check that the smaller plan actually fits what you are running: disk space in particular cannot always be shrunk, and a downgrade may require the service to be rebuilt.
When a change is blocked
Plan changes are not available while the service has unpaid invoices. Settle what is outstanding first and the option comes back.
A change already requested but not yet paid can be cancelled from the same page, which voids the pending invoice.
