Suspension and Reactivation
What a suspension does
A suspended service is switched off but not deleted. The server stops, sites and game servers become unreachable, but the disk and its contents are still there waiting.
It is a pause, not a deletion — that comes later, only if the invoice remains unpaid for a long time.
Getting it back
Pay the outstanding invoice. Reactivation is automatic and normally takes effect within a couple of minutes of the payment being confirmed — you do not need to open a ticket to ask for it.
If the service is still down more than a few minutes after payment, that is worth a ticket, and mention the invoice number.
Manual suspensions are different
If we suspended a service by hand — abuse, an ongoing attack, a security problem — paying an invoice will not bring it back, because the suspension has nothing to do with money.
In that case we will have opened a ticket explaining what happened. Reply there: the service comes back when the underlying issue is resolved.
Avoiding it entirely
Two settings make suspensions essentially impossible.
- Save a payment method and let automatic charging pay renewals for you.
- Keep some account credit topped up, so a failed card does not immediately turn into an overdue invoice.
